The time is now for Mississippians to enjoy better beer!!
MEBA (Mississippians for Economic and Beverage Advancement) has succeeded in getting a bill into the Mississippi Legislature that would raise Mississippi's ABW (Alcohol By Weight) limit from 5% to 17%. The bill is now in the Senate Finance Committee.
Here's your chance to help bring better beer to Mississippi with Senate Bill 2851!
Please help get this bill passed into law by calling, writing and emailing the members of the finance committee. This law will not change any of the current beers available in Mississippi and it will not change the wet and dry counties in the state. It is simply designed to give Mississippians access to more beers- some of the best craft and gourmet style beers in the world.

It is really impossible to overstate the importance of taking action NOW if we want to get this bill passed. The senators are very busy this early in the legislative year, and we won't be heard unless we shout. Also, they are primarily interested in speaking to people in their voting districts, and phone calls are a lot harder to ignore than emails. We've got a serious chance of changing things this year, but we have got to act.
